There are often stories in the media where a hard hat has saved an individual’s life. They are a legal requirement here in the UK, and because of the risks on buildings sites it’s easy to understand why.
A hard hat can prove to be the hero on a construction site; it’s something that every builder should turn up to work in. There are often complaints from builders who do not want to wear a hard hat, especially if they’re only working on something that is not relatively dangerous, while heat can often be an issue.
There are valid points at times, but it’s certainly better to be safe than sorry on a construction site, and hard hats do save lives. Of course wearing the right type of hardhat is important and it should always be a hard hat that meets the safety regulations.
